No classes at MCS. The teachers are in a training day at SAGE all over Winnipeg.

Mennonite Disaster Service Manitoba is in urgent need of volunteers from October 19-24 to work at a house in Breezy Point, flooded in 2011. The house has been lifted and a new foundation is being put in. Tasks include shoveling, drilling holes, putting blue skin on the foundation and putting in weeping tiles. Come in for a day or two. People with construction skills and people who are able to work hard physically are needed. Contact Dan Klassen (204-324-7355) to schedule a time.

For the month of October the Sunday School offering will continue to collect money for an orphanage in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Once the money is forwarded to Chiang Rai, items will be purchased for the orphanage.

There is a seniors’ meal sign up sheet in the foyer. Please check the dates to see if there are dates that work for you! Thanks.

The maintenance board is looking to hire a janitor. Please contact Robert, Galen, Kevin G, or Rick if interested.

Please come join us at the Arborg YFC Interactive Women’s Gala on Sunday October 25th , at the Arborg Community Center. Doors open at 6:30. Your $50 ticket gets you desserts, a fun evening with friends, two experiences (ie: hair updo, nails, massage, or a home décor presentation). There will be silent auction and music.
