The Bridge Drop In Centre could use some more volunteers. We are working on hiring a director and hope to have someone in place in 6 weeks, but right now, the Bridge is open two nights a week and run by volunteers. We are especially looking for a female volunteer for Thursday nights. Another serving opportunity would be to come on as a board member – we would love to see one more person from this church serving on the board. Please contact Rosanna Loewen.

Check out in the library this week….
I Am A Church Member by Thom Rainer. This books begins to remedy the outbreak of inactive or barely committed church members, addressing without apology what is expected of those who join a body of believers. When a person’s attitude is consistently biblical and healthy, matters of giving, serving, and so forth will fall into place more naturally.
When Helping Hurts by Steve Corbelt. Emphasizing the poverty of both heart and society, this book exposes the need that every person has and how it can be filled. The reader is brought to understand that poverty is much more than simply a lack of financial or material resources and that it takes much more than donations and handouts to solve the problem of poverty. This book gives strategies to help.
The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen. Finding himself the man of the family, London dancing master Alec Valcourt moves his mother and sister to remote Devonshire, hoping to start over. But he is stunned to learn the village matriarch has prohibited all dancing, for reasons buried deep in her past. Alec finds an unlikely ally in the matriarch’s daughter. Julia is quickly attracted to the handsome dancing master–a man her mother would never approve of–but she cannot imagine why Mr. Valcourt would leave London, or why he evades questions about his past.

If anyone wants to ski again the next day, they are welcome to. The Inn will have breakfast for us, but all other meals are up to you. (Bag lunches are quite normal) Remember to bring gas money as well. Feel free to invite friends! Daniel and Chrissy are keeping the running tally. We need numbers by March 12!!
