Everyone is welcome to Steinbach Bible College’s annual Leadership Conference. This year’s theme is The Gospel According to Moses. The conference will be held at the SBC campus, but our church will offer it as a webinar in our church building. For more info on the weekend check out the poster on the bulletin board. If you are interested in the webinar talk to Eric ASAP.
Remember in your prayers:
Kyle Dueck and Jannellie Blanco studying at Steinbach Bible College.
Lyn and Vi and family as they minister at Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church, Saskatoon, SK. and at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
Living Hope Native Ministries has their 2014 staff directory on the table in the foyer. Pick up a copy!
“We hope that it will help you to pray more specifically and meaningfully for those on our team. We also hope that you will take the opportunity to get in touch with the missionaries and let them get to know you as well.”
Note from MCS building Committee. There are still copies of the proposed building plan on a table in the foyer, so please pick one up if you have not already done so. Comments are welcome. Ron, Bruce, James, or Charles
Steinbach Bible College invites you to attend our Fundraising Faspa, April 6th, 4:00 PM at SBC. Enjoy music by “Ignite”, an update by alumni Ben & Christina Kroeker, and a light Faspa meal. Funds raised will support the Summer Ministry Scholarship. Reserve your free ticket at 204-326-6451.
Harold Penner from Mennonite Foundation will be offering estate planning here April 8th. You can sign up for this after the service.
April 15-19 is our week at the Thrift Shop. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered! We still need a couple more volunteers for the 19th.
A blood sugar tester was found at the church a few months ago and we are looking for the owner. If its yours talk to Eric Isaac.
Check out in the library this week…
Called to Stay by Caleb Breakey. Breakey takes a refreshingly honest look at the church, the problem of Millennials leaving, and the stark reality of why the church desperately needs them. He holds nothing back as he unleashes an ambitious rallying cry to heal the church and inject his generation’s desire for truth, passion, and conviction into other believers. Caleb knows that answering the challenge of his own generation leads to a transformed church. And a changed church can change the world.
Please Pass the Faith by Elsie R. Rempel. By 2030, almost one-third of North Americans will be over age 65. How will this affect the church? Rempel believes that the swelling ranks of new seniors represent a huge spiritual resource. In Please Pass the Faith she draws from real life and from Christian formation experts in helping seniors and other adults foster relationships with children and youth. She also offers practical ideas for integrating children and youth into church life-all the while nurturing one’s own spiritual life as an elder.
