Check out in the library this week….

Why I Stayed by Gayle Haggard. On Nov. 2, 2006, Gayle’s life changed forever. That was the day that her husband, Ted, founder of the 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs and the President of the NAE, confessed to her the truth. On the day and in the months ahead, everything in her life was at stake—what she believed, the husband she thought she knew, and the church community she had worked tirelessly to establish. Through the Bible she came to realize the importance of love and forgiveness.

Youth: Imagination Station #5: Showdown with the Shephard by Marianne Herring. Patrick and Beth go to the Holy Land in the tenth century BC. Their goal is to get back the ring Hugh stole and return him to 1450s England where he belongs. The cousins learn that having a giant faith is more important than having a giant on your side.

Children: That’s Where God Is by Dan & Ali Morrow. A boy’s simple question sparks a search for God. Prompted by his grandfather, he discovers God’s presence everywhere: in a powerful storm, in a friend’s help, and in his sister’s kindness. Then his grandfather shares another truth: God also can be found in our hearts, if we invite him in.

To our supporting Beaver Creek Bible Camp family, thank you so much for your support and prayer for this summer. God has definitely been at work in the campers and staff alike. God is once again showing himself faithful to provide all our needs and faithful to answer when we call on his name. We pray for more deep encounters with Jesus that change lives forever. As a leadership team we have also been blessed with great unity and a desire for God’s agenda to lead the way. Continue to pray for us as we lead.

Hosea 6:3- Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”

There are still ways for you to be involved at BCBC this summer. Please consider inviting or sponsoring a staff, child or teen to come to camp. We know so many kids who would love to come but can’t afford the fees.

If you want to serve at BCBC this summer, or know someone else who would like to – give Elmer a call at 642-4973, or email bcbc@lakenet.ca.
