The EMC Project Builders annual golf tournament is approaching. You are invited to join us at the Steinbach Fly-In Golf Course on Thursday, June 20. Registration and refreshments begin at 7:45 a.m. For more information, or to register as a team or individual golfer, please call either Ruth Penner at 204-255-8062 or Diana Peters at the conference office (204-326-6401).

Fisher Bay Bible Camp is looking for more staff for the summer. If you’re interested talk to Carlyle Hartog or Scott Rosom (204-645-5553).

Remember in your prayers: Camp Arnes. Let’s pray that staffing needs will be met and that God will be working in the hearts of those that will be staff.

Have you wished to serve at an MDS project with your family? Here is your chance! This summer MDS is building cabins near Sundre AB at Camp Evergreen, a Mennonite Brethren camp. The project will accommodate six family groups per week from July 21 to August 16. You provide your time, a positive work ethic, an RV, tent trailer or tent. MDS will provide power for your trailer, leadership, a cook, tools and food for everyone on the project! There will be a nominal registration fee of $75.00 per family. Contact the Winnipeg MDS office 1-866-261-1274 for registration and additional information.

Check out in the library this week…
Being the Body by Charles Colson. Colson revisits the question, “What is the church and what is its relevance to contemporary culture at large?” Provocative and insightful, this book inspires us to rise above a stunted “Jesus and me” faith to a nobler view of something bigger and grander than ourselves–the glorious, holy vision for which God created the church.

Youth: Uncompromising: A Heart Claimed by a Radical Love by Hannah Farver. Ask any girl on the street what womanhood is about, and you’ll get a blank stare in return. No one knows. Young women are devoid of vision beyond popularity, material wealth, a cute boyfriend or a dream career. Even in Christian circles, significant questions are often left unanswered: What’s the point of purity? Modesty? Femininity? What’s biblical womanhood? Most of all, girls wonder at the longing in their souls for something greater.

Friday (June 14) Youth Wind-Up Event. Meet at the Church at 7pm. Please bring a towel.
