Sunday, June 9, 7:00 p.m. – Baptism Service

As many of you know we are having baptism classes at this time. We are again looking for mentors who would be willing to walk alongside them for a year or so after they are baptized. We would love to find mature mentors who enjoy and are willing to mentor to let Eric or Donovan know. We would love to have enough volunteers for each of the youth being baptized.

Pray for the 100’s of EMC students and leaders who are at Abundant Springs this weekend. Pray that they would root their faith deeper into the person of Jesus Christ and experience freedom and joy in their walk with the Lord!
Mennonite Disaster Service calls for volunteers in a local Winnipeg project. MDS is partnering with Mennonite Church Manitoba in rebuilding a small apartment at 490 Maryland St. This apartment of 10 suites will provide affordable housing in the city. We are looking for volunteers, beginning Monday, May 13, who can serve for a day, two days or a week to assist with hanging drywall. Please call MDS at 866-261-1274 for more information or to register.

Whatever It Takes by Dorothy Siebert. For 30 years Albert and Anna Enns served as missionaries in Paraguay. Their “Thrust Evangelism” campaigns brought the gospel to thousands of Paraguayans and founded many of the churches of the present day Paraguayan Convention. Their story is truly one of God’s exceptional blessings on committed servants.

Secret Shadow by Loreen Plett. By all appearances Lawanda’s father was a conscientious Christian and dedicated family man, but this carefully cultivated image was far from the truth. Living in the dark and secret shadow of her father’s abuse and hypocrisy, Lawanda suffered silently, nursing a terrible load of anger and rebellion. This true story offers hope to older teens and adults living with dark secrets or struggling to accept the restoration and peace found under the shadow of the Almighty.
