A Passion for the Impossible by Miriam Huffman Rockness. Lillias Trotter left her life of privilege in England and her promising art career to settle in hostile Algeria. Dismissed because she was a woman, the Algerian men accused her of being a British spy. But for the sake of the gospel, she never quit, no matter how many obstacles were in her path. You’ll marvel as you read about this woman’s passion for the impossible, her brilliantly gifted life, and the miraculous ways the Lord used her to pierce the shadows of that Islamic landscape.

In Search of My Father by Clint Toews. Clint was a rebel. His father died when Clint was only seven years old, followed shortly by his grandfather who had become a beloved father-figure. Clint’s longing to belong, contradicted by an even deeper longing to escape the pain in his life, shaped him into an angry husband and father who hurt deeply those he loved most. Then God stepped into Clint’s life with experiences amazing and powerful. At age 35, he finally begged God for freedom from the hidden forces which plagued him. Now, he has spent more than 30 years caring for children with fatherless hearts.

Kids Book: God, Can You see Me Even in the Dark? by Carolyne Nickel. Using imaginative imagery and colourful illustrations ‘God, can you see me even in the dark?’ helps alleviate children’s bedtime fears by communicating a simple and loving message: “Yes, I can see you.”
