Remember in  Your Prayers:

June 13th membership meeting and the decisions we will be making at the meeting.

We will be voting on:

  1. Do we want Abe and Trudy to serve another term as deacons?
  2. Do we want Sid and Bea to serve another term as deacons?
  3. Do we want the youth pastor position to be a full time position?
  4. Who do we want as another deacon couple? Deacons are to be of solid Christian character (see 1 Timothy 3:8-9) and are to have servant hearts.

If you are unable to be at the June 13th meeting ballots will be made available by June 10 so you can ask Eric or Delmer for a ballot.

John and Carol Petkau, Philip Plett, A.J. Reimer, Clarence Sinclair and 5 more people from other churches will be leaving for Pamora, Uganda on June 11th. This group will start construction of the children’s home. If any of you are interested in sending along some donations, like children’s clothing, good quality soccer balls, volleyballs etc. There is a box under the mailboxes in the foyer to drop it off. You can check the bulletin board for more details of the needs there.

Thank-you

This is a quick note to let Ontario and Manitoba MDS people know of the flooding in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Thunder Bay falls within the Manitoba Unit of MDS due to its relative proximity to our Manitoba constituency. There are hundred’s of flooded basements in Thunder Bay. Sewage pumps are not yet working. There is a shortage of labour in the area so help may well be needed. We invite your prayers for those affected, and wisdom as we discern if and how to respond. Stay tuned!
